Cowley County Historical Society
Most of these photos are located in the Cowley County Historical Museum.
They have been donated to the Museum by citizens of the county. They have
been organized and indexed by Frankie Cullison, Conette Archer and other
volunteers. The organization is by the same PICTURE FILE CATEGORIES as used
at the Museum. The photos have been scanned by Bruce Hedrick and the original
high resolution images are available at both the Museum and at the Winfield
Public Library. Contact Joan Cales at the Winfield Public Library. The file
prefixes, such as 1a, 1b etc. are the names given to the file folders at
the Museum. The numbers are the index numbers given to the photos. For example,
the image 1a1506.jpg, is a photo numbered 1506 that is located in the file
folder 1a. These folders are in the file cabinet located on the second floor
of the Museum, and these original photos are available for inspection by
checking with the Museum Staff.
