3d Austin Users Group
Wed. March 30, 2011 at 6:30
at Dave & Buster's - 183 & MoPac

Next week on Wed. March 30, will be our 3d Austin users group at Dave and Buster’s in north Austin.

We will congregate at 6:30 and go till 9:00 or so.

This is a continuation of our informal format of meetings and greetings and visiting among the 3d artists and graphics folks of Austin.

For this meeting Wes Howe has more on his discoveries of the mysteries of scripting in Maya. This is a major reason that Maya is widely used in shops such as game developers, because processes can be automated with the tools built into Maya.

But for the other side, we need someone who does Max scripting to give us an overview and short how-to-get-started talk. I know there are Max scripters out there! Give Shane Davis, or myself a call and get on the presenter list. We will only have two presenters. And they will be short.

We will leave the projector set up for folks to show their work. So bring it.

Also for Max users who may have missed it, there is a good video on YouTube showing how to Paint and Fill with Objects. See:

This is a built in Max tool that does a similar function to the tool that Wes built in Maya last time.
